Troubleshooting a Virtual Machine access connection and thinking the local administrator password is incorrect or SSH key?
This can be reset within the Virtual Machine section on the Azure Portal
Note:- This option creates a VM extension “VMAccess” to reset the built-in administrator account.
Some additions the extension also configures for Windows & Linux
Windows:- Will also reset the Remote Desktop Service configuration
Linux:- Will reset an existing users credentials/ssh key, if non-exist it will create a new user with sudo privileges and reset the SSH configuration
How do I reset?
Simple! Within your Virtual Machine, select Rest Password
